Second only in popularity to the Martini during the Jazz Age, the Manhattan is a refreshing cocktail to serve at any flapper soiree. Enjoy!

 

Dry Manhattan Cocktail

2 parts Rye or Irish Whiskey

1 part Italian Vermouth

Angostura Bitters, 2 Dashes

Ice. —Stir. Strain and serve in a glass with a Cherry and add a Lemon Twist.

 

Sweet Manhattan Cocktail

2 parts Rye or Irish Whiskey

1 part Italian Vermouth

1 part French Vermouth

Gum Syrup, 2 Dashes

Ice. —Stir. Strain and serve in a glass with a Cherry and add a Lemon Twist.
